Your best class ever

edited September 2007 in General
What is one of the best or most memorable classes you've taken at SFU? I am in health psychology with David Cox right now, and it is really making me take my health seriously. If a class can make such a big change in my lifestyle by stopping me from smoking or eating junk food, and causing me to exercise more, I think it deserves to go down as a class to rememeber. Anyone else?

Psych 106 with Barry Beyerstein. Basically boiled down to an intro to critical thinking and a highlight of the amount of bunk generally believed in society.

I really liked psychopharomcology with Beyerstein, which was mainly about how street drugs affect your body, addictions & the war on drugs. It was really intense, but you learn alot the history of drugs, drug politics, etc, etc. Very fancinating and it definately makes you think & question the government's motives.

I also really like exercise management with Tony Leyland. I didn't even realize how out of shape I was til that class. There was even a girl in my class that lost about 30lbs from running!

Hey baby e, its PSYC 365 with David Cox. Another cool thing is that the textbook we use in the class is actually written by the prof! He knows it inside out and is very passionate about what he's teaching, which makes it easy to pay attention during lecture

PHYS 120 and 190 with Trottier, as well as 211 with Boal. They're engaging profs that really try their best to make sure you understand stuff. Also PHYS 380 with Vetterli (great stuff, it helped me gain a deeper understanding of some of the stuff we kind of glossed over in my nuclear science classes), and 485 with O'Neil.
