Suggestion for FIRST YEARS

edited September 2007 in General
now we all know school is interesting and all, but there is no need to be a keener and wait outside the lecture hall, specifically C9001 of the SSC 10 minutes before lecture starts.

This results in a huge wall of students blocking up the width of the AQ, as well as students having the urge of finding a football-linebacker resembling student to follow in order to get through the mess of students.

just a friendly note.

yeah it smelled like a sewage pipe exploded or someone decided it'd be funny to make a mess in the washrooms underneath the stairs to start off the school year.

oh, and the new addition to the AQ by the computer labs.. what faculty will that be for?

they have a new building? Wow lol, I remembered back then, they were inside the little corner of westmall.

probably 20 years later all faculty will have their own buildings, just like ubc

I don't get those guys, why the hell are they so anxious to go to class anyways. I walk pass that area at 12 on wednesday and it was a human traffic jam, it's like they're waiting in line to get into a club.

Omg its impossible to get by that C9001 class, and they all just stand in the hall waiting....ummm, cant they see that there are people trying to get by??

    So annoying.

Another suggestion for first-years: stay the fuck out of my face and don't ask me for directions. Figure it out your own damn self. I did when I was in first year; didn't hurt me.

But seriously, that overcrowding is quite the issue. And some of those noobs even study while sitting on the floor for 15-20 minutes before lecture. They don't care if they're blocking people, because they've got classes to study and wait for. Younglings these days have no respect for us veterans, none at all :omg:

Another suggestion: Not everyone is an asshole. You can ask me for directions, if you're lost. Not that you know who I am, I'm just saying.

to add on... work within the allocated time..

today at tutorial we were given a mini assignment which has to be done in 30 mins.. i opted for short/concise sentences in point form to get write to the point.. but nnnooo... the 1st years decided to write lllooonnngg and detailed sentences that looked like paragraphs.. in the end we didn't even get to finish the last part.. =.="
