    I'm sure she was nervous, but no amount of nervousness can make you that stupid. It can make you stutter, it can make you sumble and lose your train of thought. But it can't make you a one-moment moron.

    She made an excellent point though. If you're asked to locate the US on a map, and you don't have a map, you obviously can't locate it.

    Out of curiosity, how would each of you answer the question if were it posed? I mean Miss South Carolina was obviously incompetent (though you can't hate her for it because she was such a sweetheart when answering the questions :wink: :tongue: ) but what would a suitable response be? Education? Culture? What would be a viable solution to the problem?
