Is SFU's Faculty of Arts (Economic) any good?

edited August 2007 in General
Is it a good idea to join Faculty of Arts (Department of Economic) in SFU?
How difficult is it to transfer to SFU Business after my first year at Faculty of Arts?

I think Economics is one of the hardest departments in the faculty of arts. If you're planning to transfer to business it would probably be wise to join the Economics department as I believe the business faculty and Econ share the same lower division requirements. It's not hard to transfer into business as long as your GPA is around the 3.0 area and you complete all lower division requirements. Besides you can always do a double major in business and econ or major in business and minor in econ if business is your thing.

I know a few people who have transferred from economics into business. If thats what you really want to do, you have to put the hard work in and it is doable. Don't stay stuck in economics if you don't like it because it can become really boring and tedious as you go on. If you have a chance to go directly into the business program, then do that though.
