Good meat/deli/seafood store near SFU?

edited August 2007 in General
So I am living in "cooking" residence this fall, and as I am a half-decent cook, I was wondering if there was a nice/relatively inexpensive place to shop for meat and deli and seafood around SFU... kind of a grade above, with a nice variety, yet still affordable... if it exists.
Anyone have any preferences?
PS - I heard that Kea's and Cioffi's were the two good ones in Burnaby. Any truth to this?
Best,
T.H.

Well, I've been living in rez and where I get my food is from Costco right near Production Way.

I am not sure about Costco - but the other big stores just don't have the variety in the meat department - i.e. most of them don't even have fresh seafood most of time. I shop at Safeway for my other stuff, but the meat thing just pisses me off.
    Thanks for the input, anyways.

Their used to be a meat shop at cornerstone but I think it went out of business.

How about the extra foods on north road?

I haven't tried extra foods, but from my experience so far, the bigger stores just don't satisfy the need - as it is close, however, I will give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

So you're a true meat lover?

Maybe you should come over to my place for a bbq sometime
