movies you like that everyone else hated

All the talk of spiderman3 haters got me thinking... what movie did you enjoy that got bad reviews from others? And do you let popular opinion determine your enjoyment of a film?
For me, it's a recent film. Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain"... I think this may be one of the finest films I've ever seen. Yet it's a love it or hate it film, and a lot of people hate it. When it ran at the Toronto film festival, the first night it was shown to a crowd of critics. Apparently, they were boo'ing within the first 10 minutes, several walked out. The next night, it was shown to a public crowd, and recieved a 10 minute standing ovation at the end. (or vice versa, you get the idea).
I've got it 'on file', but have been waiting since I saw it in theaters to buy the DVD. (I don't 'buy' many dvds these days). But this one I will.
What flick did you digg that every one else buried?

yaaaarrrrrr captain!!!
Ocean's 13 is comin out too I can't wait for that
Spiderman 3 was exactly what I'd expect. People have to stop bitching about it. Yes, Peter Parker goes all emo and turns into a douchebag. What I find is that most people find the whole "Peter turns emo and dances around on tables" absurd, yet have no problems believing a guy who gets bitten by a radioactive spider, and suddenly can climb walls and shoot webs out of his wrists. It was a little heavy on the whole Peter/Mary Jane stuff, but outside of that, I was thoroughly entertained.
Oh, and I thought Topher Grace as Venom wasn't a bad choice. Should've gotten more screen time as Venom, but Sam Raimi did what he could when Sony told him he had to write Venom in to please the crowds.
anyone see it or any comments movie?
I really liked The Illusionist and everyone else said it sucked. Whatever, it was soooooooooo good! :D
one of em had christian bale and hugh jackman, and the other had ed norton, but were pretty good imo
oh and i just recently caught 'the shooter' my coworker was ragging on me for likin it, but i think i liked it a lot cause it had a lot of scenes near my neighborhood, they shot a bunch of scenes by new west area, columbia/front street and stuf.. was pretty neat seeing it in the movie
I enjoy slasher movies even though most people hate them! I'm not talking the awful bloodbath movies released lately, but the classic slashers from the 80's!
