Visual Styles ( uxtheme.dll ) and Tuneup2006 Winstyler (for the logon screen)

Notice how my contact list/convo/taskbar is transparent yeyyuh.
and in my convo, the conversations are tabbed
and the bottom left , contacts appear on my desktop for easy accesssss

takes only about an hour to do all this to your desktop for the record, so don't label me as some technogeeeek hahaha.

    How do you get the tabbed Convos and bottom left deal? I'll wait till Vista and a DX10 Card for the transparency.

    did u patch ur msn, or manually hack the dll to remove the ad at the bottom?

    I changed my tabs it looks sweet, just like vista. there are people who have the beta version of vista its pretty sweet.

    i modded my desktop quite a bit too

    objectdock + widgets, got a nice mac feel to it, got rid of the windows taskbar + desktop icons, its really clean and simple

    i'll ss it when i get home

    yeah i definitely like the ad removal , you get so much more space

    objectdock/widgets are resource hogging so i didn't bother with them. with uxtheme.dll you modifiy the original windows OS theming, so you dont use additional resources unlike windowblinds etc.

    but im lookin' forward to vista task/widget bar that's goin to come out

    I kinda like the dashboard thing on macs...could make things very efficient depending on what you use it for

    Well I guess I should post my Desktop, as you can see it's extra widescreen. I have two monitors and my TV plugged into my Nvidia 7800 video card. I also use Ultramon to have a taskbar on the second half of the screen.

    I hate using computers with just 1 monitor now. I guess I'm spoiled.

    I just use the plain generic desktop. See the picture attached. :smile:

    As you can see I don't even use MSN Messenger, I use the older Windows Messenger 4.7 that comes with XP Pro when you install it.

    Hey NukeChem thats one borrringg desktop but very efficient im guessing...

    Check this out, its a very useful little desktop calendar I use to stay organized (better than a planner in my opinion).
