Shell vs. McTaggart/Cowan residence...?

               Hey all;
I have a question of opinion (thus the poll) - which of the two residences are better? Things that should be taken into mind are cleanliness, sound levels, people, room/space state, respectability, etc. Also, are either of the two harder to get into than the other?
*edit* - Kitchens are very important to me, so their state is of utmost importance. :).
Thanks for all,
T.H.

The walls in McCow offer you NO privacy - if you even talk on the phone late at night, the people next door will hear you (so imagine how, er, voyeuristic people might get if you, shall we say, bring other people over). The rooms in Shell are made out of actual concrete. Way better.
Anyways, thanks for the input. Altogether, Shell sounds better from what I've heard from other people. Is it harder to get into?
Best,
T.H.
I've never lived in Shell House, but out of these two choices, there is a split among which if favourite. McCow is older, and Shell is newer. The one reason why McCow can be more favourable than Shell is because of the bathrooms in Shell are quite gross. So it comes down to would you rather have better bathrooms or a newer building.
Myself, I live in Townhouses so I share my bathroom with one other person and I share my kitchen and living room with three others.
