edited February 2009 in General
Does your perspective change if someone you know had a boob job or some form of physical alteration?

I have no experience with them, but I imagine that a well done boob job is fine.

90% of guys who say they don't like them have never touched one. That's a fact. That's a Truth Fact.

i dont think it matters, you either like a person, or you dont

I have, and I don't like them. That rubber bag feels weird, especially on the edges.

I am not a big fan of large breasts in the first place, so my perception of the girl will change toward the negative if she underwent a breast enhancement surgery to make her breasts bigger. I don't care if you will get more self-esteem with your fake tits, I hate bigs tits. If you have breast implant, to me, it means you have self esteem issue and having a bigger one won't solve anything.

Also, I found the procedure, which involves injecting either saline or silicone into a woman's breast, to be rather nasty. I would NEVER let anything that is not supposed to be inside me to be injected into me. Hell, during blood donation, I ALWAYS donate Whole Blood and not Apheresis because I don't want what came out of my body to be put back inside.

I don't care if you like them or not, that's not the point of this discussion. The point is the character of the person having physical augmentations, does your perspective of the person change?
  • edited February 2009
YES my perspective of the person changed for the negative because having breast enhancement surgery suggests that the female has self-esteem issues. Also, because I have a preference for small breasts, since she replaced something I like and replace it with something I hate, my perspective of the person will change as well.

That's what happens when I open too many windows for TalkSFU.

It would depend on whether she needed it or not. I think it's unfair to look negatively at a girl who was born very flat-chested and decided to do something about it. I would look at it negatively if she was a B cut and went to a D cup, but some girls are nothing-cups, and I think it's fine if they want to do that to feel more secure.

How about some opinions from the females? It's all XY chromosomes here.

no... my perception won't change.. so long as they have a legit reason for it.. cause essentially there are 2 cases at hand here.. physical alterations done out of necessity and those done out of luxury...

by necessity i mean like when the person really needs it.. say a girl gets into a car accident and has her nose smashed.. she goes and gets a nose job.. i'm okay with that.. and my perception of her won't change.. the same thing about morro's example with flat chested girls...

now what i don't like.. is girls altering their body parts just to look a certain way.. that just shows me they have no appreciation for their natural beauty by wanting angelina's lips...salma hayek's boobs.. or beyonce's booty.. especially when they go to extreme measures to do that.. i don't mind people doing small surgeries to enhance their natural features (double eyelids, braces) but it's when you start changing yourself completely that bothers me or when i can tell that it's fake.. sorta like the feeling you get when you see someone sporting a fake brand name bag..
