Dropping one class...will I get a partial refund?

I'm an english major and took PHIL 210 solely to meet Quantitative requirements. Turns out, it's far more confusing and complicated than I expected. I know the last day to drop a course (with a WD on your record) is in February, and the last day to get a 50% refund is the 25th of January. So does this mean that if I dropped it, I would get my money back from that one course? Or just half of what I paid for the course? If I don't get any refund at all, I'm gonna have to stick it out but it will lower my GPA indefinitely. Any help at all (or if you have taken the course before and have any advice) is appreciated!

  • It does sound complicated.  My suggestion is to contact Student Services:

  • Looking at the deadlines for Spring 2016, if you drop before the 25th of January you'll get 50% of the class tuition back, but if you wait after that you won't get any money back.

Also, yesterday was the last day to drop without a withdrawal notice, so the course will show on your transcript but will have a WD instead of a mark.
