Computing Science courses for first sem in SFU
I will be an international student in SFU for this fall term and I need help in planning my program. I am admitted to FCAT as SIAT student however, I plan to transfer to computing science once I meet the requirement for an internal transfer.
As I was an A level student, I already have 24 credits, I am required to do 96 credits in SFU in order to graduate. My A level had transferred credits which is equivalent to MATH157 in SFU. I notice that MATH157 is one of the course that can be used for internal transfer, however, approval by advisor is required. How do I get the approval?
Should I still take MATH150 even though I already have MATH157?
Ideally, I would like to do around 15 credits for my first term in SFU and I am not sure what course to take other than MACM101, CMPT120, and a W course. What other course is recommended? I will need 2 more courses for this term if I am not doing MATH150, also, A level credits are transferred mostly to WQB requirements, I only need to take 2 B-soc and 1 writing course to complete WQB requirement. so I'd prefer to do core courses for the major instead.
Example of some easy writing course?
Thank you for your help.

Or go to drop-in advising. It's enrollment season though, so it might be busy!
